This map shows the locations of highly modified streams through selected areas in the Wellington Region. These streams were mapped using flow paths derived from a Digital Elevation Model for the region (2013) and then clipped to grassland areas along the valley floors and coastal plains.
The areas that have been mapped are in the Ruamahanga valley, the Wainuiomata Valley, the Mangaone valley, and along the Kapiti Coast. These are shown with blue shading. Non-mapped areas are shown with orange shading.
